The 107-kilometer charity run Rīga–Valmiera will take place this year for the eleventh consecutive time, and this time it will be held on the day of Latvia's Restoration Day, May 4th. The run, which starts at the Freedom Monument in Rīga and ends at St. Simon's Church in Valmiera, will gather 215 participants from 10 countries who will raise funds for two charitable causes, including the rehabilitation of five-year-old Regnārs from Valmiera. The finish is counted when the door knocker is touched within a 19-hour time limit.
